The standard rule book of fashion that once existed no longer holds a precedence in 2016. In the recent years we have seen rules like, “no mixing patterns”, “no white after labor day” and many more go out the window in the world of fashion. One of the latest trends has been taking colors that are supposed to be from other seasons and incorporating them into other. One prime example has been the use of baby/powder toned colors in the middle of winter, as well as winter whites and even in this very picture warm fall-y tones being incorporated in winter and even spring collections. Also, wearing all black will always be a thing but in this new season I predict a lot of color loving. Colors you should continue to look out for are this mustard yellow, burnt oranges and camel, baby/powder pinks and blues and more baby hues.
For this look I used the neutral ribbed turtle neck dress and this bright yellow jacket that was on sale from Zara’s Winter Collection and the burnt orange heels from their new/current Spring-ish collection to create the perfect ensemble of Spring in Winter. These two colors compliment each other so well and would compliment any skin tone.
I may also add that after I took these outfit photos, Karrueche wore a similar outfit for NYFW and I seriously believe we need to be friends or atleast take a few shopping trips together, the reach is far I know. :p
