Denim on denim is an easy way to dress up a casual look, when you don’t feel like doing too much. I always catch myself reaching for denim on denim with different pieces when I want to keep it simple. I reach for denim on denim time and time again when I want a pair of shoes to be showcased, heels or sneakers. The denim creates a neutral canvas and automatically your shoes just pop. This was my intention this time again, although the pair of sneakers are close in color, the royal blue still stands out because everything else is muted and similar in color. You can also try denim on denim with different washes of denim. A classic is dark and light, as well as pairing white with dark or light washed denim.

I have a chambray shirt that I love but I literally only wear it with black jeans or black leggings. Yesterday I “was bold” and decided to wear it with white jeans. But usually if the black options are dirty then I feel like I can’t wear the shirt. This post just opened my eyes to a bunch of new outfit possibilities lol. I usually hate matchy-matchy but I may try to rock it this week. Thank you!
