Sooooo we’re back ! I hope everyone has a great start to summer, we are officially about a week in and so far the weather has been promising. So what better than summer friendly fashion and style? This outfit is perfect for summer outings, brunch, late stroll, even after the weather has cooled down a bit. Culottes are very simple, fun yet elegant. As most bottom pieces, they can be easily dressed up or down with different tops, accessories and sneakers. With the right length of “leg”, culottes can easily be paired with a shorter heel or even a sneaker. If you’re on the shorter side like I am, a shorter pair (may need to find a tailor that won’t make them look like shorts) would work just fine.
I wore a tighter and shorter (cropped) top with these because of the balloon pants vibes and the wider leg. This keeps everything balanced and proportioned and accentuates the right places. The focus on these pants were all on the stripes, so tieing the look with the neutral shoe sealed the deal. Zara has a great selection with various prints and material that make it easy to keep it fresh and flirty for the summer.
