Bringin’ it Back – Overall Dress + Fringe

 

Hope everyone’s weekend was enjoyable in the sun! As you can tell from the title, I had to grab another pair of the sought out fringe sandal from Zara. Buying them was never a part of the plan or my need to get list. But I stumbled across this when I went in for more of their basic dresses and found this pair on sale and in my size. Comparing them to their original price and it being the last one … my shopaholic tendencies took over and I couldn’t resist. Also on my way out of the fitting room on the go back rack, I found the white denim overall dress. I don’t need anymore denim anything but something about denim always catches my eye. I went back into the fitting room and this just so happened to fit perfectly, except on the waist but there is nothing a safety pin can’t do. This dress was also apart of the Spring/Summer sale, which you maybe able to find both items depending on the location. Side note, once again the lime green clutch made yet another debut. It’s so easy to through everything in, grab & go that its become more a convenience and I just make it work with the outfit. The finishing touch that places this look in the “Bringin’ it Back” category is the choker. Choker’s are a blast from the past, as a kid, everyone had one except me because my mom said they looked like a dog collar. Now a days there are more options then those plastic swirly ones. Forever21 and Aldo (pricey’er) have tons of different choker styles, some more dressy  and others more grungy. I was not a fan of the swirly ones, although I bought several, but I became obsessed with the lace like, laser cut styles and gold chokers.

Denim pieces and fringe have taken over the spring collections and its not stopping now. Stores have begun to feature their fall collections and denim and fringe are a part of all of them. Even the deep indigo denim and pieces with a similar tone are standing out. Keep your eyes on the look out for more fringe, especially fringe dresses and accessories in earthy tones to match the warm and earthy leaves on the trees. I have already started a tiny list, its not really tiny, on the fringe things I want. I want to stay away from anything else that is denim, keyword : ” want “. Look out for deep blues and warm oranges as the collections and season begin to change as well as the chokers.
