Even though the flowers have dried out, the leaves have wilted, the cold is settling in and nights are long, floral print is still making its mark. Last year embroidery was everywhere from shoes, to purses and clothing. This fall and winter season it seems to be sticking to kimonos and waistcoats or some version of a robe, usually on some sort of silky or smooth material.
I decided to be as simple as possible with this look since most of the charisma was in what I thought was a kimono, but is actually a dress. I felt the kimono look was much more flattering on me then the shape of the dress so I chose to wear it that way instead. Kimono’s a great relaxed look when paired with jeans and heels or sneakers. Of course for more effort heels would add just the right touch, but sneakers can also be classy. A completely different look can be combined with a pair of wide legged pants or a simple black midi dress, still letting the kimono do all the talking, but bring some night time glam vibes.
