I knooooow. Where have I been? I promised a gazillion times that I would be back consistently but like for most people 2018 taught me I need actually get that together this year. Not just on the blog but in like real life. How was your 2018? How was your transition into 2019? 2018 went by so quickly that I had to back into my camera roll and snapchat memories to specifically remember what happened. At first, I thought 2018, my 26th year, was another year that I got through. Then I realized that everything I conquered and accomplished was an actual victory and not a defeat, unless I started comparing. We know what comparison does. All of that made me extremely optimistic about 2019. I think a major part of it had to do with all the reflecting I did prior to December. Around October I started to analyze all the things I wanted to improve and grow in. That meant breaking down all the habits, excuses, deciding what I really wanted and taking action.
The optimism that I feel for 2019 isn’t one that I can explain very well. Its an overwhelming joy and peace that I can’t contain. Like if I could give it to people I would share. Its now a few days into 2019, still early I know but I still have that feeling. My mentality is refreshed and motivated. I’m ready for all that 2019 has to offer but I’m ready to put in the hard work as well. We’ll never be young as we are today, so work now, play later,is one of many mantra’s this year.
My keywords for this year are discipline, consistency, patience, focus, drive, hustle persistence and hustle. And by God’s grace I’ll reach those in 2019.
Lastly, I want to wish the blog a very happy happy birthday! On January 5, 2015 I stepped out on one of my fears and started this journey and over the years people have accompanied me in achieving this. I haven’t been the same person since. Dramatic, you may think, but actually real. If there is one person reading this, I’ve accomplished enough.
Thanks for taking the time to like, share, read, comment, screenshot and much more. A special shout out to those behind the scenes, the ones who take 300 of my pics, who I send my outfits too, the kind words who remind me why I started. And to my SHOOTER, the very best, there wouldnt be any pictures to post,if it weren’t for you. I am eternally grateful, really.
And of course, more than grateful for the one who keeps me going and has given me the gifts to share, my guy, the real Gee, God. In 2019 there is a lot I hope to accomplish and I hope you continue/join the journey. Again, a million times, thank you.
