I, a couple of friends and family took a road trip up to Montreal Canada for one of my best friend’s beautiful wedding. ( Kerry, who has been one of my WFW) I took the chance during the mini getaway to capture some of our trip with videos, as well as a few looks. I want to give a huge shout out and thanks to my best friend Haline who did a great job at getting my looks for the video ! The video also features two of my other friends who made Canada a blast, four girls in a hotel room brings lots of laughter. Check out the video and details on all the looks below.
Look One
The first look was a different kind for me and very much springy. I almost never wear shirt dresses or never find one that fits correctly and isn’t too short. But this one was definitely a score from H&M. Of course underneath I made sure everything was sealed and tucked away in case the wind got too strong or a button came undone. For the shoes I picked my comfy gladiators form H&M, that I absolutely love, especially for my bowed skinny legs that don’t fit into all gladiators. I picked to wear these shoes almost everyday …that’s I how much I loved them.
Look Two
The second day we went on a little adventure to the Parc Safari, which was a little over an hour away from the Hotel where we stayed. Being a safari, I went for a more casual look with an asymmetric top from Zara that I have in multiple colors and a pair of old boyfriend jeans from PacSun. After a while of driving my feet got tired and with errands to run for the wedding I brought along my Cheetah Birkenstock look alikes by Sam Edleman that I got from Marshalls for a steal. To add a little color to the grayed out look I opted for a gold messenger bag/purse that is years old from Just Fab.
Look Three
Look three was a definite score from . . . TOPSHOP ! Initially when I saw the sign on Saint Catherine Street, I thought it was an actual TopShop store, literally 2 minutes after saying ” They need to have a TopShop”. The TopShop section was located inside of La Baie, their version of a Nordstrom, but with a much larger section. I got very few shots of the look but there is a better shot in the video. The dress was true retro love at first sight, throwback looks have been my thing lately and this dress topped it off… I’ve already repeated the dress *covers face*.
Look Four
After the wedding we all decided to take a stroll in Downtown Montreal before we had to say goodbye the next morning. I hadn’t realized until I changed that I was wearing orange and lime green, a color combination that I wouldn’t think to try. After taking pictures I realized how well the two colors complimented one another *the shoes again, I know* I also forgot to take my earrings off but in the end was a plus to the outfit, since I usually stay away from dangle-y earrings.
